Mohammed Elfiky received his B.Eng. honours degree in electrical and communication engineering from the Tanta University, Tanta, Egypt, in 2010, and the M.Sc. first-class honours degree in the Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2014. Currently, he works towards the PhD degree at the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic, with a topic ”functional splitting related to scheduling between RRH and BBU”. His research interests cover cloud radio access network, cooperative communications and radio resource management in future mobile networks.
