We open a postdoc position in the area of semantic communications and computing based on ML/AI for 6G mobile networks.
The objective is to develop and test algorithms for management of communication and computing resources for AI-empowered multimodal communications in industrial an vehicular scenarios considering semantics of individual modalities jointly optimized with the processing of the modalities in edge computing servers.
The research will be carried out in the laboratory of mobile networks – 6Gmobile research lab, Department of Telecommunication Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic.
The work is a part of international project MUSE-COM2 funded in frame of CHIST-ERA Call 2022 in cooperation with academic (EURECOM, University of Oulu) and industrial (Bosch) partners.
We offer full-time contract with a competitive salary of 2800-2900 EUR (~68 kCZK) gross per month plus bonuses, 30+ days of paid holidays, flexible working hours, health and social insurance, and support for relocation from abroad. We have an open position for research assistant or engineer to work on software defined 6G testbed in the laboratory of mobile networks – 6Gmobile research lab, Department of Telecommunication Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic.
The selected candidate will cooperate with the lab researchers and students on development of our open source software defined testbed (based on OpenAirInterface and O-RAN) and will implement and test new solutions in various areas related to 6G, such as AI/ML, vehicular communication, edge computing, or radio resource management. We have two open positions for PhD students in the area of mobility management based on ML/AI for 6G mobile networks, one position targets mobility management aspects, the second one radio resource management and edge computing for mobile users.
The objective of the first PhD position is to develop algorithm(s) that learns and classifies statistics of the communication channel and supply this knowledge to another algorithm responsible for setting of the mobility management related parameters.
The second PhD position targets development of communication and computing resource allocation for vehicles for offloading of advanced computing tasks from autonomous vehicles to MEC servers and implementation of the solution to a small prototype of an autonomous vehicle in the lab.
